Maundy Thursday Vigil Rather than opening the Chapel for an overnight prayer vigil, this year we are inviting people to hold a vigil in their own homes on the evening of Maundy Thursday until Friday morning. We have designated times that people can sign up (more than one household may sign up for a time slot) and you may sign up for more than one time slot if you feel called to do so. Click here to sign up for a prayer vigil time. We have a handout to give you for suggested practices and prayers for use during this time. Click here to download a copy of the handout.
Easter Flowers The Covid-19 pandemic has made it necessary to downsize our services and all things related to them, including altar flower displays. As an alternative to a large Easter array, please consider giving flowers for a specific Sunday throughout the Easter season and beyond. Should you wish to give flowers in memoriam or as a thanksgiving, we will print your inscription in the service leaflet as we have always done. Make your wishes known to Carol Berg (520-373-5770) and she will make the proper arrangements. Flower donations are $35. Let us hope that next year we will be able to fill the church with blooms for both Easter and Christmas.
Your Lenten Devotions Walking the Labyrinth and praying the Stations of the Cross are two ways to deepen your devotional life during Lent. St. Francis is fortunate to have a large labyrinth in a beautifully landscaped environment as well as a magnificent set of Stations in our courtyard. We also have written materials to assist you in your devotions; just check the bench at the entrance to the Parish Office and the pamphlet box at the entrance to the Labyrinth.
Lenten Devotional As Lent approaches, Lifelong Learning and Building Faith at the Virginia Theological Seminary has created a devotional video called The Way of The Cross. This video can be viewed one station each week, or saved for Holy Week, or anyway that is meaningful to you. Click on links below for Video and Devotional.
